An analysis of the intersection between Latinos and British journalism. Has the group been well served by journalism in its various forms? Are we sufficiently informed about this community? How might they be better covered? I use recent coverage and supplemental interviews to address these questions.

For my First Language Acquisition course, I conducted an independent project tackling indirect object pronoun use in Italian and Spanish learners. My research predominantly drew from the Child Language Data Exchange System (CHILDES), with narrowed demographics and language-specific corpus.
The Psychology of Headlines: Identifying Fake and Real News
I merged my two undergraduate majors, Language & Mind and Journalism, to study whether there is a statistically significant correlation between correctly identifying “fake news” and the factors of age and media consumption. I conducted binomial tests and correlation analyses to gauge the results of a 20-question survey distributed to 25 participants.
